I am hoping someone will be able to help me with a issue I have with Jetstar.
I purchased two tickets to Hawaii for me and my BF last year to travel at the end of April this year.
We broke up in September and agreed that we would both still keep a ticket each as were still keen to go.
I have not been working and so I decided to see if I can cancel my ticket as I won't be able to afford a holiday.
I find out from the call centre that he has called and changed my booking that was made online through my Jetstar account.
The tickets have been seperated into two bookings and my name has been changed to another girls name. The only way that this could have happened is if this new girl pretended to be me.
My privacy has been compromised and now I have paid for two tickets for nothing. I believe that due to their mistake, my contract has been voided and I should be entitled to a full refund.
I called my CC company and they can only do a charge back if Jetstar refuse to issue a refund, but this needs to be in writing. I have requested this but I am not holding my breath.
I first contacted Jetstar 3 days ago. They said that they needed to check the phone recording of the name change request, and that they would get back to me within 48 hours.
Today I called and they said that this kind of request will take 15 business days. Clearly they have made the error here. I just want to cancel both tickets and forget about this whole fiasco.
Any suggestions?
