Little confused with my current status credit balance showing 1055 but it is saying status credits earned since September are 295, September being my review date? Can anyone explain why the status credits are not reset like QF

Unlike QF, where status credits expire in bulk every year on the same day, VA status credits expire one year after issue.... Making it easier to earn higher status levels as the need be, rather than getting 'X' amount of status credits by 'Y' date before they all are wiped at once!

VFF is just different. The Status balance is a rolling-12 month value - SCs add on the front and roll off the back after 12 months. It's only important if you are trying to reach a new status level. Once you reach a new level, for requalification, the "SCs earned since" is more important. You have to earn the requal value within 12 months of earning that status. Hope that helps/makes sense.

Interesting so in effect I can family pool whilst being WP and just keep an eye on when the SC drop below qualification level, awesome

Hmm... I'm not sure that's the best option for you at the moment.

Based on the information you've provided, it appears that you originally qualified for Platinum in September 2013. That means that between (some time in) September 2012 and (some time in) September 2013 you earned 1,000 SCs.

In between October 2013 and September 2014, you need to earn another 800 SCs to retain Platinum for yourself. You indicate that you've already earnt 295 SCs toward this requalification since September 2013. You need to earn another 505 SCs still before the end of September 2014 to retain Platinum.

If during this period, you earn your 800 SCs to re-qualify, then yes, you may have some options to consider. The next benchmark is another 500 SCs (so 1,300 before end of September 2014), then you will qualify for Partner Gold: you can assign Gold to another Velocity Member. If you already have a family member who is Gold, then yes, you may want to consider instead changing your Family Pooling arrangements to allow that member to earn the 400 SCs required to retain Gold in their own right.

On the other hand, if you reach 1,300, then the next bench mark is 1,800, which is Partner Platinum. This increases the Status level of the member you assigned Partner Gold to up to Platinum.

The only time changing switching your Family Pooling arrangements will be of any significant difference is: You think you will earn 1,200 but not 1,300 SCs before September 2014 AND your existing Family Pool member is already Gold. If they are not already Gold, then you will have to earn the 500 anyway for them to attain Gold, which is the same amount required for Partner Gold. In this instance, by retaining all the SCs in your own account, further SCs earnt prior to September 2014 will continue to contribute towards Partner Platinum.

Hope that helps.
