NAB 40,000 Velocity bonus & no annual fee in 1st year

Card arrived today. 7 days after application approved.

Have spent the required $2500 on WISH cards which were then converted to the $88 EFTPOS cards available at Woolworths.

Having read through all of the documentation that came with my new card, I noted the following:

'11. HOW LONG DO YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR POINTS?

11.1 Points in your points balance must be used to claim a reward within 36 months from the date the transaction which earned those points was processed to your rewards card account. Points that remain unused in your points balance after that period will be forfeited.'

This won't be a problem for me as I'll be closing my account as soon as the bonus points can be transferred. But it could be a problem for people looking to build a bank of points.

So just an update on application....
Drive to country.... Into NAB dressed in old/worn clothes... Present to teller with drives licence and Medicare card and application info. The drivers licence had short name, Medicare long name.
Told need BIRTH CERTIFICATE! or passport.... I made a call to customer support told "credit check not done" They can change application name and sent payslips in bank. Suddenly teller is Thankyou Sir anything else help you with after verification of name with customer service rep on phone. Txt yesterday to say approved expect in 5 days!

Um my points are sitting in account but Redeem points does nothing??????
Once you have paid the bill do they allow you to transfer?
