Card Offers NAB Qantas Business Signature Card: 200,000 bonus Qantas Points (expires 28/2/25) - works with ATO

OMG a letter from the NAB, they are changing this card from Qantas Frequent Flyer to Qantas business rewards so effective start Dec 2023 pts from this card can only acrue in a Qantas business rewards account. Which means opening another QFF using in our case our company ABN.

Why does the NAB have to fiddle around like this. Or not give its customers the option to choose.
I had to jump through hurdles to get this card, it's worked quite well for business expenses. I don't want extra QF accounts with piddling FF pts in them. My main personal account has about 750,000 which is useful.
Wait... ahh cough... So one can't simply just gently wave around an ABN, and hope to open a new NAB account to discover 200K Qantas points sitting in it? Or can one? am I missing something. I thought it might be too good to be true.

Not only this is true, but because this uses your ABN rather than your name, you can do this even if you already have or had a Qantas NAB card in the past 12 months. And it seems like this does not appear on your credit rating as your ABN is a separate entity... kind of a no-brainer

Does spending at AusPost count towards earning points? Got approved for this card but not sure if AusPost is considered government payment

anyone have issues applying for this card?

their accounting integration seems perpetually down
I don't use their preferred accounting software. Absolute nightmare getting approved. Multiple emails. Bank statements. BAS. Notice of assessment etc.
Fortunately, the delay in approval meant I got the 200,000 rather than the 150 which I signed up for.

Couple of questions:

1. If I'm a sole trader operating off an ABN can I apply for this card using my ITR as proof of income?

This is also something I would like to know - I've tried applying but yes the site is always down.

But I'm guessing from the comment of Duffa (about requiring multiple BAS and other bits of paperwork) the answer is probably no.

I wonder if it's worth my time going physically to a branch (gasp!) and pleading my case - my most recent tax return shows my ABN income, but then I took a year off sole trading to get further education, now going back ....
