this is wonderful
Thanks for pointing out

It made me hunt a bit more. Westpac have deals for shareholders as well

Haven't looked at ANZ and CBA
Thanks again

Not a bad incentive to buy a small share parcel right now, especially with dividend yields quite high. Put them on DRP and watch it grow into something nice over time.

Only NAB offers shareholders benefits, other 3 have already ceased benefits package. NAB benefits only applies to Qantas gold not Platinum.

The platinum card has no CAP on reward points but the earn rate is 2 points per $3 spend. Not the brightest. Cost of card $290.

There's no cap on the number of points you can earn.
Points will be allocated on a tiered basis, first on your NAB Qantas American Express Platinum Card spend, then on your NAB Qantas Visa spend.

Does this simply mean that you will see two lines of points credit on your Qantas account?

the bank statement looks like this

Qantas Frequent Flyer points earned this month
American Express Standard Points: abc
MasterCard Standard Points: def
Total Standard Points: ghi

the qantas statement looks like this

There are no prizes for solving a, b, c etc :)

I use nab for my everyday accounts and applied today for the plat card, got conditional approval online immediately, within 2 hours the account is active with my NAB netbanking.

Myself and the missus will be moving across to the NAB Platinum's once the NAB people eventually get back in touch for us to have a discussion about our cards and savings accounts to get the optimum for our requirements. People complain about the Qantas helpline - I say don't hold your breath for NAB to get back in touch!!

Anyone have a time frame on points posting? or is it the full amount of time as per the T&C

They were fantastic getting back to me about my Plat application. Just needed to send a letter in from the accountant confirming financials and a copy of pay slip to the email address. Very easy.

Same here. They rang me about an hour after I lodged my application confirming an old address (I assume because the only NAB account I have had prior was about 20 years ago) which meant I didn't have to do the 100 point thing. Cards arrived 4 days later.

Sent from my iPhone using AustFreqFly app

I am a nab customer for the majority of my banking I applied Wednesday night online and cards arrived in the post friday lunch. now that is fast !

This replace a CBA PLAT when they cease the BPAY rewards?
Can get BPAY points on this card???????

Is sup card free?

I applied this morning online and it was approved within 1min.

Now to cancel my NAB Qantas Card once I pay it off and get the Plat card. Uncapped points here I come!

I gave up waiting for the phone call and also did it online, all done within 5 minutes including filling in application.

Will go to my local NAB to discuss the other items, just have to find time away from work to squeeze into the useful 9am - 4.30pm opening hours!

Thought I had struck gold for a free card at 1.5/$.. until I found the bit about shareholder fee free only applying to the Gold card

thud...

Anyone had success cancelling one of these cards after holding for a few months (and receiving the points) and receiving a pro rated refund of the unused annual fee?

Have successfully done this with ANZ and Westpac making it very cheap for the points!

NAB has stopped doing pro rata refund of the annual fee.
