NAB Signature prorated annual fee refund

Anybody recently had their second a year fee refunded?
I’m about to tick over and get the extra 30,000 points but not really worth it if I have to pay the fee for the year.

Thanks
Cancelled this week after holding for over 14 months and receiving the 30k points on the 1-year anniversary.

Closed via online chat and didn't even have to ask for the pro-rata refund - they automatically included that as part of their process/script so I'm getting the remaining 10 months of fee refunded.

Just closed a card over chat and specifically requested a prorata refund, they responded with:

In regards to annual fee pro-rata refunds, effective 30th November 2022 - NAB has made the following changes across all consumer credit cards (except the StraightUp card):
  • Annual fees will no longer be automatically refunded where a credit card account is closed within 12 months from first use. First use of card is when the first-year annual fee charge is triggered.
  • After the 12 months since the first annual fee charge the pro-rata refund rule will be applied.
In your case, I can see that the first use of the card (the first use is when the first annual fee is charged) was on the XX/XX/2024 - As it is still within the first 12 months of use of the card, you will be ineligible for an annual fee pro-rata refund.

Thanks for posting this, have verified this is still apparently correct via NAB app chat.

If anyone is aware based on experience, when does the annual fee post? Statements for me come through on the 2nd of each month, card was approved around 20 Jan. Would I expect to see it in the Jan 2 or Feb 2 statement?
