Network Aviation (Qantas subsidiary) pilots strike

JB do you think they will solve it in the 6 days?

Or are management just too naive they would just charter other operators until the sun dies.

Further industrial action to take place this week. Initially it was only planned for Thursday, but has since been extended to a 4 day strike.

I don't know that management are naive. They're certainly nasty. They've been at war with the staff for decades now. If they'd put a fraction of that energy into making passengers actually want to fly with the airline, they'd be laughing all the way to the bank to pick up their bonuses, and probably nobody would mind. But, the only idea they seem to come up with is treating the staff to an ongoing stream of outsourcing. I suspect you'd be very hard pressed to find anyone who gives a proverbial these days. So, how do you come back from there? Obviously more of the same.

Have I missed all of the press coverage about the union canceling today's strike action so that they can assist with moving pax up north if needed as a result of (now ex) cyclone Lincoln?

Talk about an act of good faith!

Nauru are actually an ‘Australian Airline’ with Australian AOC, all crew/aircraft are BNE based. They are pretty much a charter operator with some pacific flying.

Obviously they have picked up some lucrative work with Network and Bonza recently, they are expanding their fleet also. I’d imagine last minute charter rates are quite healthy for the Nauru balance sheet!
