With US Air miles can we go Perth - Sydney -Perth in J for 35,000 miles and what are the extra fees? I saw where AA is 10k each way in Y and 17.5k miles in J.

In Business Class it's actually 30K return or 30K one-way but you can't book online so have to call.

The +++ are about the same as AA charge.

However, they also assess a USD$50 per PAX fee (Sometimes they try for more) on top of the +++.

Ok Serfty that is a very reasonable way to get a return business class deal inside Australia.
I will get my youngest son to do a tester seeing he is not rostered into weekend work. I have made it to Lifetime Gold with Qantas so that chase is over for me.
If the cost runs out at say $600 ish that is a good saving on a bought return in J for coast to coast travel.

I've got 30,000 sitting in my wifes account.. If only I had a reason to goto Perth. Never been there for a holiday on the airport... one day!

You can actually go from PER (or even BME) to NZ (AKL/CHC/WLG/ZQN) return in Business for the same 30K points. Government Taxes, Airline levies and charges and booking fees total in the region of AUD200 per PAX.

My very first AA redemption was indeed this!

Yeah I reckon BME-PER-MEL/SYD-AKL return in J for 30k points would be about the best use of a 30k award (aside from visiting dear GUM of course!).

I would suggest taxes/fees etc would be between $150 and $200.

Toward and beyond the upper level I would think.

MEL-AKL-MEL in late June came in at USD132.66 +++ & USD50.00 ...

Only one family account had the offer so I took it up at 2cents per point ( Australian ).
That will allow for redemptions between Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane to Perth and back for about $660 which is a considerable saving on return business class fares on QF.
A little bit more for the run to New Zealand and back in business class from Perth (about$800 AUD).
Have no real wish to go to Broome again but I have told my grey nomad friend that he can duck away from Broome to the east coast and back for $660 in business class.

Yes, last night I paid for dinner on that card as well as the US Dividend Miles so almost 2,000 AA miles in 2 days plus 100,000 US Air Dividend miles for a son.
This next month I am lending a family member an ATO bill to pay seeing he needs points on SQ.
There was a suggestion of OCD but just ignore that and keep working on the best of the best for the least hard earned money.

Just bought another 318K across 4 accounts brining my total to approx. 700K miles. Will be used on 4 x NA F awards + 1 x NA J award + 1 x SWP J award.

Couldn't help myself, just bagged another 100k points.

Came to $2021 AUD exactly with the 28 Degrees card, not a bad exchange rate.

was overseas and forgot to buy during this promo if anyone has a spare 60k they want to gift send me a dm

Which would be the best J airline (if I have a choice), to do this on as I have exactly 30K miles left over burning a whole in my pocket?

Are you that desperate for the points? Otherwise, you might just be best waiting for the next promotion.

Yeah the next promo could be later this month anyway if USDM promo history is used as a guide ....
