New Accor rules question

So it looks like you can earn points on food along with some other things. Does anyone know if these are status points or reward points?? I couldn't distinguish this in the T&C. It just said 'points'.
I think from experience you earn both status and rewards points. You just don't receive status points on your status bonus. I think you need to be staying and charge the bills to your room to earn the points.

You definitely earn both status and reward points on anything that's added to your room bill when you stay at the hotel - restaurants bars spas, you name it. You just need to put everything on your room. If you are not staying at the hotel or pay those bills separately you get nothing.

Great because we've got 4 people staying in 2 rooms soon so should be worth something!:)

I'm not 100% sure it is always this open. Pretty sure in some hotels specific items (such as laundry) which can be charged to the room are excluded from points calculations. But in my experience food and beverage has always counted.

Well it must be coming up to renewal time for the "new" Accor rules, under the calendar year status points calculation.

As an Accor WP now, currently in a Sofitel, who has already earned over the required status points to requal on 31 December 2017, i could only chuckle at how badly Accor does anything related to their loyalty program when I received this:

...in essence it says that i have earned no status this year and better get my skates on. Oh, Accor! Will you ever get it right.

Incompetence is basically a trademark for them. Worked in my favour, got Plat treatment as a classic last stay...

I suspect that the program relies on members presenting their card at the property to authenticate their current status. I say this because I dropped to gold from Platinum in between bookings and suspect the WP status was not changed on their system. Unfortunately when asked if I enjoyed the SG benefits I advised I had dropped to SG. The guy tapped away at his keyboard and the next time I visited they asked if I was WP but I had jumped up to WP again.
