New Adelaide Qantas Club & Business Lounge

But there shouldn't be too many WP in the J lounge as they direct them to the original Chairman's area. I guess it's the Business class people in there though.
Sadly the CL is also now closed for reno, there are temporary walls over the entrance, so everyone including actual CL has to use the QP.

Oh my. This is it until mid next year then when J lounge is finished? Guess they aren't expecting any important people here for a while. That's pretty bad planning.

Wait what ?
🙀

Even with the “small” area set aside exclusively for CL, they’ll need to mix it with the plebs (or worse be seen by them across the divide(r))

If they get a seat that is! Could be an interesting time.

The cricket team and the hoardes of staff, press etc will here in a couple of weeks so that might be a tight squeeze.

Been to the new lounge a couple of times now. The coffee queue is bad and when there’s a queue, it blocks up the entire bar area. I think they should consider moving the coffee queue to the opposite side of the bar. I don’t think there is much improvement on the food selection either compared to pre-reno.

If they're like the Melbourne lounge you can use the Skip app to place your coffee order without queuing.

Chairman's lounge for J and WP etc is no more. All go to normal lounge.

I wondered what that "Private" area was for. There was one person in it last Wednesday afternoon.

The photo (artist's rendering) in the article is when it will be finished. There is a wall along the line of seats to the bar.

Sorry but I am not a fan of the new QC lounge. I pass through 4 times a month. Of course there is less space and more people just now with everyone in there but the seating is far less private and less relaxing. The fittings are swankier but its still the same old same old food - frittata/beans/baked potatoes etc. Really thought they might step it up a bit. Coffee station poorly positioned as others have mentioned. As a WP I enjoyed my wee sojourns into the old CL but I think I will be just grabbing a coffee/pastry and staying in the main terminal for now until they open the new J lounge.

Totally agree, though I am lucky? to be there 4 times a year.

I was there on Tuesday. The coffee area will be better once the hoardings have gone. That will open up that end of the bar.

Also the cans of beer and soft drink are temporary until the new section opens up. Overheard staff talking about it and they are not happy with the storage and handling that adds.

The bathroom is poorly designed. No hand towel, and the door opens inwards. Actually the fact there is an entrance door in the first place is poor.

I think the food selection has dropped a bit.

Spent about 30min there early Tuesday afternoon. Very busy, not much seating available, but it looked nice and fresh. Plenty of charging spots was great too.
Mens urinals were pretty stained and dirty though, probably the sheer amount of traffic.
