I have not yet received Westpac’s response, however, I have contacted it and requested its response by 7 October 2014.

Cruiser I like your posts and you are very helpful to a lot of the newer members like myself but this seems like jumping the gun a little to raise a FOS dispute doesn't it? Don't they have until October 8 to post the points before they have not fulfilled their side of the bargain?

tdog the FOS dispute was raised some time back - it involves the actual dates of the 3 month 2 x pts window - if you read back down thread all details are there. Dispute lodged with FOS on Aug 19.

This dispute does not relate to the posting of the 2 x pts but rather initial 3mth window dates.

I thought they backed down on that one and agreed the dates you had interpreted? Anyway, keep us all updated, will be interesting to see the update!
 
Cruiser - isn't today the day you were due to get your double points bonus?
Any thoughts as how to deal with Westpac if they haven't credited the points?
I suspect many of us are soon king to be faced with this.

Yep I have written conformation from Westpac that the bonus points would be posted by yesterday - did not eventuate.

I have sent off another email to the F.O.S. officer handling this case detailing same - he now also has a copy of the correspondence from Westpac from Sept 1 which clearly and unambiguously states that:

1. I am indeed eligible for double pts bonus in period May 9 to Aug 8
2. Bonus points will post to Altitude Account within 2 months of finish of bonus period

Will be interesting to see result if any.
 
I think my youngest son has about 120k points run up in the Black warehouse and he has a credit limit sub $18k. Need to put through quite a bit of ATO to get him enough SQ points before they close this one off in November. Plenty of time to get him the miles is what I am thinking.
 
No one in my family ended up with a double points opportunity as they were in Brazil and the US for much of the time that promo was running.
 
I have not received anything yet - and expecting 1.5 million odd points.
I called Westpac 2 days ago. 15 min later - they had no idea and will look into it...
 
I'm still awaiting confirmation from Westpac they will 100% pay out missing double points on non ATO purchases as well as ATO spend which relates only to bills issued in mine or my wife's name.

Otherwise, sounds like no one has received any bonus points which is a little concerning.
 
I hope you are not "waiting for Godot" with this doubler. Godot is the one in a famous play who does not turn up.

But they no doubt already posted the 3pts/$1 on your ATO and other spend? They may ante up with the pts - time will tell - if they don't we will have a great story for the tabloid TV shows - I can hear the headline now - Big Bank dupes honest everyday customers with dishonest and deceitful non performance of DOUBLE REWARDS POINTS OFFER for new Credit Cards!
 
By the way, I just received Altitude points today for a significant ATO payment 2 days ago - so system is still working...
 
I confirm I got the base points and they have "said" I'll get the bonus on the other spend mentioned. Just need it in writing now and for the points to materialize.

If I get what's been promised, I'll be happy & consider not worrying about a FOS case. Gotta be smart about time management.
 
I called about a week ago regarding my last batch of bonus points(already received 2x bonus points for first two months) which is about 600k points. Spoke to someone who said they'll sort it out and get back to me in 48 hours. Surprise, surprise, no contact received since then, so I called up again last night and spoke to someone(after talking to someone else on their support line for about an hour and being on hold for ages) who confirmed that the person I spoke to last week had raised a request already, and it had been escalated which is probably why I hadn't been contacted yet as nothing had been done about it yet. Told them that wasn't good enough, if someone promises to contact me within 48 hours, then contact me dammit, I don't care if nothing has been actioned yet, I just want to know what's going on and that it hasn't been lost in the dustbin on call centre hell. Person I spoke to yesterday promised(again) to call me today to advise me of updates(whether or not anything happens), we'll see if anything actually happens.

Am also trying to convince them to make sure that I get my double points for the full 3 month period FROM card activation(as per promotion) and not 3 months from account opening. They're adamant that part was automatically taken into account, but when I point out that each of my first two bonus point "payments" magically matched up with the total points earn from the statement month before(which works off when the account was opened), there's a lot of silence....

I'm pretty sure that if/when I get my bonus points for my 3rd month, I'm then going to start another separate case to fight for my full 3 month bonus period as determined by card activation, not account opening.

BUT, it is only 1/3 of what I am due.
Look a $ spend ( correct for 3 months) and points - does not make sense.
