No, my reading is you get $20 back 3 times if you spend $60+ (in one transaction). In other words, my understanding is this entitles you to 3 transactions of $60+, $20 off every time.

Your reading is correct. I read it wrong and after spending $60 once, I did not receive a credit.

Apologies, I sit corrected.
It looks like you have 2 weeks to spend $180 on fuel to get $20. Not a great saving in my opinion, but YMMV...

Can't say I've noticed a spending challenge like this before on Amex, similar to Flybuys and Everyday Rewards, and not keen to do it for such minuscule returns.

Might not be the 25-30% offers of times past but at least it is an offer I can use, unlike an exorbitant spend at some restaurant I am unlikely to ever set foot in.
