New Amex statement credits

The Daylight Savings offers are in;

Harvey Norman - 5 bonus points per $
Peloton - 2500 / 15% back
Qantas Hotels & Holidays - 500 / 50
Qantas - 400 / 50
Forever New - 100 / 20
Special Gift Cards - 10% back capped at $20
Michael Hill - 1000 / 100
Bailey Nelson - 300 / 50
Nespresso - 100 / 15
Ampol 50 / 5
Menulog - 30 / 15
Breville - 750 / 15% back
MyCar - 500 / 100

Note that some of these offers have very short expiry, e.g. Ampol expires in 5 days and petrol prices are at the top of the price cycle in Sydney. So GCs it is.

This is probably the only one that I'm going to use.

You can buy a "Woolworths card" via special which isn't a standard Woolworths gift card but rather a prepaid debit card that can only be used at Woolworths. This makes it then possible to purchase other gift cards (Uber etc) or a wish gift card for later use.

If you have a local place that you can walk / drive to for self pickup, the Menulog one is pretty straight forward. They’re hopeless for delivery however….

My Harvey Norman is $300 / $50

I was planning on booking some QF hotels today - so that could be handy. $550 spend if I used a voucher…

Of course, I filled up the car yesterday (out of necessity…)…

I keep seeing offers for IHG - Intercontinental but not appearing in my account...
Have you used one before? There were suggestions that some of these are once only but I keep getting (IHG - have used previously) and just got both QF offers and just used a previous $500 / $100 during the NZ promo… Plus several QF hotels in the past.

Will try buying a HN gift card to see if I get the $50 credit. Worked last time.

Depends on where you live. In the particular corner of Melbourne where I live, Menulog is just as efficient as Uber Eats and often a little bit cheaper.

If a restaurant is available from both Uber Eats and Menulog (and/or Doordash), it's worth comparing prices and fees -- the differences can be significant.

OT, but we’ve had shocking service from Menulog (and that’s in Sydney Eastern suburbs with 100s of delivery riders / drivers).

Uber Eats is generally more reliable but TBH, we hardly use any of them these days. I prefer to pay our locals directly.

Given all the Amex hype on The Daylight Offers, it is very underwhelming. Nothing really different than what gets rolled our each month anyway.

Shop Small was farcical, and as a promo this is not much better.

Oh for the "good ole days" of Amex Promos that one could really go to town on.

The Man Shake credit hasnt come through as yet and purchased a couple of weeks ago. Anyone else have theirs come through as yet?

Do we think the QF $400 credit might fire for a marketplace or wine order?

Hard to find Ampol GCs more than $25 in the 3 servos in my local Sydney area I went to this morning. Bought 1x $100, quite a few $25s, and just when I thought this was just a waste of my time, one servo had a $250 GC which they let me do a split payment over 5 cards :)

Purchased a HN giftcard the other day. No credit received, yet. Might take a week or so to come through.
