Havent visited in a while but pretty sure they have Coles Group & Myer
I have it across all cards so this is one of the better ones we've had for a while
Cant see how Amex could differentiate on an instore purchase

Got this on all of my cards, including supps.

I don't see an issue purchasing gift cards. But I have seen the Coles/Myer gift cards recently removed from my local Officeworks.

I understand Qantas Amex ultimate doesn't provide car rental excess though, so may not be the best option for me
