I also received Aesop - 150 for 2k points but no Transport for NSW offers on any cards. All have the Volvo offer from a couple of weeks ago so I am getting a clearer picture of how Amex perceives me.

I wish I knew that...I bought 3x$300 CMGCs, each card split into 5×$60 payments...took 10 mins with a very patient sales lady...lucky it was about 11am on a weekday and store was quite quiet!

I never get Aesop offers. Also currently arguing with Amex who said I spent the VAEFNO offer at Aesop Collingwood when I spent it at Westfield Sydney ...

Assuming you have no plan to actually purchase a Volvo, you would need to check that they can refund either to a different card or to cash. Most companies won’t do either of these due to AML laws etc. Or, wait long enough for credit to original payment so that it doesn’t trigger the min hold threshold.
