New Amex statement credits

Imo there's been a couple good Amex offers recently, nothing ground breaking but financially beneficial as been discussed up thread.

@Comoman clearly there's many uses for 3M+ points, maybe you just wanted to drop you have that many.
Nope that’s not the case - transferring them to an airline means you’re locked into them (if you can actually use them) and they can expire. Hotels not worth it for me.

Unnecessary comment IMO but whatever……

For me the statement credits are becoming less and less relevant and useful and is making me doubt my current use case for Amex Plat. The only issue I have is what to do with the 3m+ points I have. $1600 a year is an expensive points warehouse.
Can you change to a lesser value card to continue warehousing these points?

Can't you transfer once you see a use for the points, as in a reward seat pops up that suits you?

Don't have to transfer all 10M points at once do you?
Is it an instant transfer?

I think for those of us not interested in running around to shops buying gift cards and what not to save $10 a go, we are seeing less value.

I get plenty of people are happy to go to effort to maximise these regular but tiny value offers. Some of us aren’t and that’s on us, but given the annual fee, I’m surprised so many are happy chasing the $10 cashback here and there.

Pathetic! I got same offer on PE and Qantas Discovery.
I will call Mantra direct and ask if they will match the discount for an upcoming booking rather than have Qantas think they gained traction with my booking.
Just booked direct with hotel after speaking with manager and arranging a multi-night deal that ships all over the Qantas joke.
