New BNE International Lounge - Aspire (Formerly the 'MyLounge' space)

Brisbane Airport is once again home to a second independent lounge, with the Aspire Lounge now open in the international terminal. While it’s Brisbane’s first Aspire Lounge, eagle-eyed travellers may recognise this as the former ‘My Lounge’ space.

It’s not a simple reopening. My Lounge was operated by No1 Lounges in collaboration with Virgin Australia. The Aspire Lounge, on the other hand, is run by Swissport.

Looks great, finally a Diners/Priority Pass option in Brisbane, hopefully they expand their opening hours soon..

I walked past the Brisbane "aspire lounge" about a week before it reopened, comedically they haven't removed any MyLounge external branding but instead have just moved an aspire banner in front of the my lounge sign.

Let's compare it to when MyLounge (No 1 Lounge) ran it with VA as their main tenant.

That Aspire Sign in the photo is brand new, previously they had an Aspire banner in front of the old my lounge branding.

Per 'that' site on AusBT/ET, Swissport are now closing their BNE International "Aspire Lounge" on May 31, with no intended replacement.

The lounge originally opened as a branded "MyLounge" owned and operated by the UK company (before it was sold to Swissport), with VA signed as their main tenant, but was open to other travellers of other airlines as a Pay For Use lounge.

Perhaps BNE management could open the space up again if there's no replacement.

Per 'that' site, Plaza Premium has announced they'll be taking over the old Aspire/MyLounge space. ETA is around Sep/Oct (no exact opening date announced).
