I have no issue with QF shopper docket BPs for DOM travel. A hard piece of card or an A4 BP from OLCI is a waste of paper. I use the Qcard at the gate and get the little docket to put in my jacket pocket - no issues. Getting a card BP is not magical for me - getting a glass of Dom perignon is!

How funny :p

Yes, I'm wondering if that Perignon is just on the Dom sectors or Int sectors as well! ;)

I am personally a fan of the cardboard boarding passes. I even liked the kiosk check in paper slips, traditional boarding pass feel at less of a cost.

I was given a cardboard boarding pass when checking in at the SYD Premium Entry this afternoon.

I was also pleased to notice my seat had changed from 3C to 2F. :p

Flying Brisbane to Sydney and back tomorrow so will see what the lounge angels provide in the morning.

Can only hope for a move from 3A to 1 or 2 anything to try the new Business service between capitals

We are expecting a full review Liam. :)

I'll try and get one out in the next day or two, just snowed under with work at the moment. (Work comes before Flying/AFF, weird concept, isn't it? )

Perhaps Virgin could bring in boarding passes like those of Virgin America? This would mean both cardboard and greater "ease of pocketing" (these are seemingly the two key points here - text size can be changed LiamR and, well, don't we all want some Dom Perignon?). Some images are attached of what this would look like.

It would also mean it would easily fit in the palm of the hand (if that really means anything - ergonomics perhaps?) Just an idea...

I prefer to use my card when possible.

Less cough in my pockets when i get home to put through the washing machine.

Is the seat change a feature of getting a cardboard BP? ;)

I'm not sure these are actually new. I have a stack of them cluttering up the desk drawer I periodically dump detritus from my carry-on bag into. They're all ex-Sydney, but beyond that I've noticed no pattern to when they're handed out. I've had some issued at the bag-check gates and some in the Sydney lounge. I think the first one I received was around August and they account for maybe 5-10% my BPs ex-SYD.

Received a cardboard BP at the MEL lounge on Sunday night, but only a shop-a-docket one at the SYD premium lounge entry today.

Sent from my iPhone using AustFreqFly app

Got a Cardboard Boarding pass the other day in LST but when I went on my flight from MEL (checkin at the desk as I had special baggage) I got a thermal shopper docket printed one.)

Oh and since when have QF issued a baggage recipet on a BP I liked the little square sticker that was on the back of the BP like they used to do

QF's bag tags don't have the stub able to be taken off anymore. Although the luggage receipt on the BP is from when NGCI started.

I doubt it's magical for many FFers.
It is magical for me.

I have always loved the cardboard boarding pass and nothing has changed. I now have a huge collection at home if I can ever get around to collating and storing although on many of the boarding passes the ink has faded.
