New Cathay Pacific Lounge in T3 at Heathrow

I might visit in the U.K. summer (our winter). Depends a bit on what I hear about the comparison between the QF lounge (once that has opened) and the CX lounge.

Just had my first visit of the new CX F lounge in T3. Very nice lounge (quite similar to the Pier) and the food was great!

The piped musak was loud and annoying in the CX F lounge. After having a meal I retreated to the quite of the BA F lounge.

Do they have info in the CX Lounge for when QF10 and QF2 are ready for boarding or do you have to go to the BA lounge to see that?

Its on my todo list in July when i pass through LHR T3. With the delay of the QF lounge this one will do just fine it sounds.

They told me on entry that they would announce the QF departures, but I didn't hang around to find out.

I agree, was there in Jan and thought it was excellent, both the J and F sides.
From memory the screens showed all T3 departures and cycled through them, so QF should show up, but I left before then.

Yes, QF flights are displayed on the monitors and the lounge agent told me that they do call QF flights (although I left the lounge 40 minutes before scheduled departure).

This must be a change in policy since the beginning of the year. When we visited in mid-January the CSA at the desk made it quite clear that QF flights would not be called.

I visited last night before QF2. The F lounge seemed a bit small and very full. Comfy seating and warm lighting, but slightly annoying muzak. Lots of showers. The flight was called.

That's interesting, I thought that most CX lounges were 'silent lounges'...

I was there in April while waiting for QF2. It was quiet in the lounge, the showers were excellent and the food from the Noodle Bar great. Certainly light years ahead of the BA Lounge in T3. I'll be back through in Sept, although hopefully the new Qantas Lounge will be open to try out.

I spent some time in the T3 CX FLounge in June. The first was en route to BUD with BA - I was told on entry that flight would not be announced. I noticed that they were announcing QF 10, though, on both of my visit. The second visit I was leaving on QF10, and was not informed that it would not be announced, because it was. :)
CX flights to HKG were also announced.

Went there recently. The dining was not as good as the CX FLounges in HKG, but still pretty good and I prefer the dining in the QF FLounge.

Interesting sentiments, however comparing lounges in different ports, especially a carrier's home vs outpost lounge is similar to comparing apples and oranges. This is for the readers who may not otherwise be aware.

I guess the major exception is EK - all of their lounges seem to be the same standard, with their DXB F lounge as an exception, literally. Haven't been to the DXB J lounge so I wouldn't know (or really want to know) about that
