Anyone who has done this and wants the offered Starwood Gold needs to read the fine print. First you have to register. Then you have to stay one night at a Starwood property and pay by the Mastercard attached to the Diners Card. And THEN you get the SPG upgrade.

Thanks for the heads up. I can't seem to find all the relevant fine print on their web page. I think I'm going to have to ring them and have a marketing package sent out.
