Hi,

Anybody else received an invitation to join the Qantas EpiQure Member Panel?

Yeah, I got that today. It says:

We’re seeking a handful of wine-savvy, opinionated Qantas epiQure members to participate in our new member panel. It’s an ideal opportunity to share your wine knowledge with like-minded members, attend a panel-only wine tasting and offer feedback to improve our product offering and website. Apply today.

I'm hardly wine-savvy, or opinionated, but if I get a free wine tasting then I'll consider it!

Edit:

Applications are open to all Qantas epiQure members over the age of 18 who are available to attend the wine tasting event in Sydney on 17 October.

Was very keen on this...however they expect me to pay my own way to Sydney for this. Fat chance of that happening, so once again, Qantas shows this it is a Sydney based airline, not an Australian one.

We're in Vietnam in October so I disregarded the email. It wouldn't be a bad gig if you already intended on travelling to SYD.

I got the email, will already be in SYD for a Conference (GPH will know which one) but it is the Conference Ball night and I've already paid.

Considering cancelling, getting a refund and attending the Epicure event....if my 250 word prose passes muster

I got it, however I can't travel to SYD in October, and having thought about it a bit more, doubt I'd be very good at reviewing wine much past "this is good/bad". However, really hope that not opting in now wont mean they wont consider me in the future when travel would be allowed. Shame they can't have any tastings in BNE/OOL!

Like usual. I live in the UK and still got an invite (am on the tail end of a membership I signed up to while in oz). Aah Qantas... You know my residential address. Use it to target offers correctly.

And another hint. Perhaps people who have bought zero bottles from you (apart from the free champagne upon joining) are not likely a good source of feedback for a panel...
