Not going to pay my own way to sydney for this, but here's a free tip for Epiqure anyway: no one is going to buy wine from you when your prices are often significantly higher than those at Dan Murphy's or other retailers....

Points can make it worthwhile though. Additionally, I don't think that Dan Murphy's are always cheaper, my observations are that once you start going up the price list a bit, ie many of the wines at $30 and above are actually quite competitive on price

I got the offer, but my thought was, geez, if they want people like me on the panel, they must be really desperate!

My kids made me dinner last night and we washed it down with a 2008 Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge shiraz from an Epiqure offer. Here's my tasting notes:
