I am excited to announce the introduction of AFF Wiki Pages. A Wiki is simply a webpage page which can be edited by anyone (with the appropriate permissions). Wikis are generally used to summarise information which is then available to anyone - and importantly, can be maintained by anyone (again, with the appropriate permissions). Many of you will be familiar with Wikipedia, which is a good example of a Wiki.

A Wiki Page will be associated with selected AFF threads. You can easily identify the threads with an associated Wiki, as they will be marked [WIKI PAGE] when viewing threads in a forum. The first part of the Wiki Page will be available at the top of every page in that thread. You can expand the Wiki Page to read and update the Wiki.

An example of an AFF Wiki Page is provided above.

Anyone can view a Wiki Page, and AFF members who have been a member for at least 90 days and who have made at least 100 posts can edit the Wiki.

The following threads already have an associated Wiki Page:

We do plan to add Wiki Pages to other threads. You can help us by identifying which threads should have a Wiki Page by sending a PM to support. support is responsible for managing our Wiki Pages, but it will be you - our community members - who will effectively be maintaining them.

(There is also a Wiki Page associated with the forum (not thread) Meetings and Social Events. The plan is this Wiki Page will replace the consolidated event sticky thread)

Hope you find this new “enhancement” useful.
