New flybuys log in system, now needs your mobile for 2fa

Ok, so through a bit of fiddling around I have managed to resolve this. For anyone unable to log in here is a workaround that I was successful in using. Hopefully it works for you too.

It had occurred to me that the issue could be related to the latest iOS app and website update that occurred last week. The issues seem to have coincided with me updating the app. I have an old phone which hasn’t been used for at least a year or so and has an older version of the flybuys app on it. So I tried logging in there. BOOM! In!

It wouldn’t recognise my email address but my member number worked. Also, I had tried changing my password a couple of times over the last few days and my latest password DID NOT work on the old app. Entered my password from 1 week ago and it logged me in. It had all my current offers which I have activated.

From there I was able to navigate to what looks to be an older version of the website where I was able to switch on auto-transfer which is what I wanted to do with the current 15% bonus to velocity. Along the way the website sent a 2FA text message which came through right away.

Now waiting to confirm that the velocity points from the auto-transfer hit my account and then all will be good. :D

We're sorry for the hassle. We've consulted our tech team and they've advised that you get this either when a wrong verification code (sent to your mobile) has been entered too many times, or too many requests for verification codes have been made within a certain time period. The "blocked" status is removed within 24 hours. The "error" messaging is being altered to be more explanatory.
What a crock of rubbish !!! I am not able to log into the app at all, all I get is a blank screen - I am not able to enter details such as card number etc., even if I use the Safari browser on my iphone...I've sent that many emails to support about this and still nothing works....I'm so annoyed, I have deleted app, reinstalled, gone to web on pc, scanned and redownloaded app, and still no login screen appears on iphone...I'm seriously considering cancelling my flybuys altogether now, it's just too much of a stuff around with the new app version...the old one worked just fine.
