New from the Northern hemisphere

Hi all,

45-yo (as I'm writing this) male from the Netherlands. I'm planning on coming to Oz later this year (for the 3rd time in 7 years ) to visit my family in law.

My favourite flight with Malaysia airlines now has an 18 hour stopover in KL when flying back to the Netherlands (and I have no plans on visiting KL), so I have some specific questions about certain Emirates and Etihad flights that I wanted to ask your opinion on (as their staff in the Netherlands can't help me).
