Hi everyone,

I thought i'd introduce myself here. I'm Bill and pretty shortly I'm going to be starting travelling for the best part of a year or so. I figured I might be able to save myself some money if I start doing some research on flights before blindly booking them. I've not had much of a chance to look around yet so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Welcome from another Bill. I'm a relative noob, and this forum has been a fantastic asset for me. Knowing about the 28 Degree credit card was enough for me, and there have been a heap of other good hints.
Welcome and enjoy.

thanks guys, I'll have a look through those forums. I think the abbreviations could take me a while to learn.

it looks as though i'm going to be needing flights between Perth and Melbourne around about august time but I can be a bit flexible if it means saving cash. so far i've been using Cheap Flights Australia - Cheap International Flights & Domestic Airfares to check prices as it's what I use in the UK but does anybody else have any suggestions?

cheers

Bill

Welcome aboard BillWeston. Where are you looking at travelling to? And in what class? Any favorite airline program and/or alliance? To maximise the benefits of your travel these questions need to be asked and answered. Happy travelling.

(Currently in the JFK AA Flagship lounge en route to SJU via MIA.)

Hi

I'm going to be flying perth to melbourne in late august/early september. Cost is the key so it will probably be economy class. I don't really have any preference regarding which airline, i'll fly the cheapest as long as it's a reasonable journey. I'm not part of any airline programs or anything but open for anything that could save some money

Cheers
