New Korean Air livery

I like it! Except maybe for the logo on the tail.

When i saw the title for the thread i thought ‘oh no, not *another* all white livery with a splash on the tail’… so this is a welcome change!

So from the sounds of things following their event on Tuesday night, this isn't just a new livery and fresh coat of paint.

Its a full rebranding and attempt to break into the absolute top tier echelon of the aviation players. New hard and soft products, new planes etc. completely new F, J products (and assume Y too). Also they want to be known as "the world's most loved airline". They want to be in the conversation when its QR, SQ, EK etc as the top tier airlines.

Whether they can succeed at that will be interesting to watch.

@Mattg perhaps you can alter the title so it's more rebranding and positioning of the company than just livery.

Looks like Korean Air but with added blandness. 👎
Sort of like what LH did.

Immediate update to all emails and websites. Still using the Air on emails and web.

Everyone is going for the simplicity route these days.

I suppose the logo doesn't look like Pepsi any more, though how far that joke was actually taken until now is debatable.

Definitely makes the aircraft look more modern and the old livery looks very retro compared side by side.

Apparently at the event at GMP airport, when the guests arrived it was still the previous logo outside the HQ but by the time they were leaving, Korean Air had gotten workers to go change it all on the buildings and they were almost done. (Source: on air with dan and alex - they were invited guests of the event).
