Sounds Ok see what fees are first.

I guess each card will be same colour both sides.

I'm glad to see that they've moved the RFID chip further down from the top edge. My last year's card's chip abraded because it was exposed above the edge of the slot in my wallet and ceased to work for quick check in.

last week I moved my QFF card from my travel wallet to my normal wallet. This week I stopped this practice and returned it to my travel wallet. Reason? All last week my auto pay card for public transport stopped working. I used to be able to hold my wallet up to the ticket barrier and walk straight though. After putting the QFF card in my wallet this no longer worked. I had to remove the public transport card from the wallet for it to work. At first I blamed the public transport card and even had a fight with the counter clerk about it. Then I A/B tested. Tried going through with the QFF card in the wallet (no luck). And tried with the QFF card removed (it worked). So, colour or no colour, design or no design,...QF have put some very strong radio waves in their RFID chips.

Now that's very interesting. probably worth putting some serious feedback to QF about it.

Interesting. My public transport card won't operate inside my wallet. I'll try taking my QF card out next time.

What you need is the AFF RFID sleeves! Put your QFF card in and it should stop interfering with your MyKi/Opal or similar.

My Victorian myki won't work in my wallet if I have my EDR CC in it as well.

Does the virtual wallet work as a chip and pin, pin off a swipe, PayPass? Will this technology work in the UK? I usually have to resort to signing receipts in the UK because the chip'n'pin system used here is different to their system (so I've been told).

Despite their early adopter of chip'n'pin, I found very few places enabled for PayPass when I was there earlier this year.

BD

Umm. No it isn't.

RFID cards fight against each other and scramble signals. Never keep RFID cards in the same area of the wallet as it will cause this type of issue.

In my case, it was not even the same 'area' - they were separated by at least 5 mm, but still parallel.

The myki lost out and I keep it in a separate wallet.

Quite a few places here have PayPass however I find only my Visa/MC works even though my AMEX is PayPass enabled too.

Was the same in oz. And yes I have the same issue over here with my oz amex. Gets quite annoying when you do the tap, insert, swipe dance...

Wouldn't that be the usual merchant thing of not accepting AMEX due to the high fees incurred by the merchant?

Agreed agreed, just expend the extra 0.3 seconds and get the card out of your wallet rather than write a whining letter to a card provider!

The trick i have found is to have your public transport card in with your phone case - then hold the phone up to the machine. Usually means getting a specific case however.

No interfenrece with any other RFID cards in your wallet then (obviously).

Sure about that? Paypass is a Mastercard thing :)

Visa has Paywave

American Express in Australia, just refer to it as Contactless.
