New lounge trial in DPS

I came back through DPS the other week for the first time, after reading threads on the DPS lounge I was not expecting much. Stayed at the Garden Inn for the day rate which was really to have a shower and leave my luggage. I mixed up my timings and arrived at DPS about an hour before check-in. After check in I was surprised that the lounge was already full so I went to the other PP lounge (T/G) which was no better. On return to the Priority Lounge I pulled out my white card and asked if this gave me any special access, I was expecting an answer of no, however to my surprise the chap at the desk had one of the staff escort me to to the that small F class room. Sure the food/ drinks were no better but I was the only one in there and it was a bit more pleasant.

Flying JQ from DPS--CNS in January and I have QC. I'm still allowed QC when flying JQ internationally. I wonder if this would be the same?

The Novotel trial by Qantas had finished by the time we traveled J DPS-SYD in Sep this year. Pity as we generally stay at the Novotel on arrival in Denpassar so know the hotel well. The lounge would have made a pleasant change from the bunfight that is the DPS Priority Lounge.

I’m flying DPS to MEL and going to get a room at the airport Novotel for 6hrs, can you walk from the hotel and check bags 3hrs b4 flight then go back to the hotel for another couple of hours ?? will be flying business and have been to the premier lounge b4 it was so hot and cramped I hated it so thought I’d spend $80 at the Novotel

Yes, you can. It would be about 200m from the Qantas check-in counter back to Novotel reception if I'm remembering correctly. Keep in mind there's no priority immigration/security at DPS, and QF46 leaves amongst ~30 other departures between 8pm and 10pm.
