Malaysia Airlines has unveiled new seats and a refreshed cabin interior for its Boeing 737-800 fleet. The first refurbished aircraft will enter service this month and over time a total of 38 aircraft will be progressively refurbished.
A key change is new, "leaner" seats. MH is also removing a row of business class, and adding 2-3 rows of economy. To fit this many extra seats in, I can only assume the seat pitch is also being reduced (or the toilets at the rear of the aircraft being made smaller). Two of the extra rows of Y will be behind the exit rows.
The aircraft will offer wireless streaming entertainment.
