New PJs?

Just flew F & J longhaul: still the old kit on board.

Aspar is not the best Australian brand (Aesop & Jurlique are far better) but it is better than SKII which is just an expensive brand from Proctor and Gamble but not very good.

Funny how CX have Aesop and Jurlique.... are you saying that QF should be more like CX?! :o

Finally an improvement on the slippers!! Ones that you can easily slip your feet into without having to fumble around with the top bit. And pockets for the PJs!!

So they got a bunch of regular first flyers to go to an event in SYD a while back perhaps just to show them new PJs?

Was hoping for a bigger change e.g. that the A380s would be refurbished.

Judging by the new amenity kits, refurbishing J would probably meant replacing the MK2s with recliners :p

I don't think the two were related....

i noticed Aspar is being used for hand wash and moisturiser in qantas economy lounges. While it may be better than SKII, it doesn't have a sense of exclusivity if so widely used.

Exclusivity is no longer a marker of QF:

-Aspar throughout the lounges & in J & F (at least this is better than the old F WCs that had the awful bog standard handwash and only J WCs had a better brand: a bit perverve IMHO).
-J & F meals: most, if not all J dishes are on the F menu
-same in-flight snacks e.g twix bars (really QF! in F as the so-called chocolate snack)
-no enforcement of premium boarding, inclusing not directing Y pax to the Y door on the 380
-removing Flounges (eg BNE, SIN, HKG) or not even building them (LHR)

This seems to be a low cost mentality whilst asking a premium price but not delivering a complete premium service

Just flew QF9 to LHR in F and was given the J PJ's. Was told this would be the case now until new PJ's became available. Out of stock of the current dark grey F ones and also no socks or slippers as well. When I asked about socks was given a J amenity kit as well to get the socks. Not happy Jan.

Disappointing. Also disappointing that I can't say I'm surprised.

While the style of PJs wouldn't trouble me, the lack of slippers would as they are convenient to go to the WC without having to put shoes on.

I too have done 3 recent sectors in first and received only J PJ's...not impressed at all.

But on the sector from DXB to SYD on the 23rd in first class, they handed out the new Martin Grant PJ's (in first at least - can't comment about J)...they are dark navy & black...the slippers have been enhanced & I mean 'more substantive' in this instance :-)

I flew QF 2 on 16/10 from Dxb-Syd in F and received J PJs and an apology: Just not a good experience QF!

Surley it would not have cost that much to get another batch of the old F PJs if hte new ones were dalyed? Any left over once hte new supply line is working could be handed out in J: everyone gets a good vibe re QF and the impression the airline cares

Our new first class pyjamas will be available on all flights from 21 October. To learn more about the new design, visit the Qantas Newsroom:

Given there are so few flights where they offer P class PJ's it doesn't sound very difficult logistically to ensure there is enough stock to cover the transition period, even if they have to buy them in lots of 10,000.

QF/Red Roo advised that the new PJ's would be available on all flights from 21/10, this didn't happen as I flew from LHR on 22/10 and received J Class PJs...I wonder if Red Roo would organise for the new PJ's to be sent out to those passengers who received J but should've received P on flights from 21/10?
