Was cruising the Accor website just now and saw that they offer a new benefit for their World Platinum and Diamond members called Accor Medical Solutions. Essentially if you stay at participating Accor hotels and feel unwell, you get complimentary phone access to a Doctor:

Hopefully we'll never need to use it, but something to keep in your back pocket just in case!

I noticed this advertising at The Pullman Auckland. However it did not seem to indicate it's complimentary. This is good to know.

Platinum* and DIamond get a free telephone consult, and it is for non urgent situations.
Face to face appointments are paid.
It was introduced last year, but note there are a bucketload of non participating properties ALL - Accor Live Limitless

*What on earth is world platinum?

You're right, it's certainly no substitute for Medicare or Travel Insurance, but can be a nice added benefit to consider when staying at Accor properties globally.
Face to face appointments are paid.
True, but I would argue that if you feel sick you probably would rather pick up the phone and do a consult rather than haul yourself to the Doctors. I can think of situations where I had stomach issues after eating something questionable and having a number to call to speak with a Doctor to get the issue resolved could've been quite helpful.

I wouldn't characterize it as a bucketload. Yes not every Accor property participates in the program, and perhaps the number of participating hotels is less than those offering free brekkie, but it's still a sizeable amount and considering this has launched globally across their various chains, it's quite the achievement if you ask me!

The poster's quaint and unique take on Wanker Platinum 🤷‍♂️
I don't know about you but I'd much rather be described as a World Platinum member than a Wanker Platinum member even if most of my Accor stays are in Australia! 😂

Most long term members of this site would refer to a Platinum member of QFF as WP.
That is what the abbreviation was intended for.
The long form of WP is not used by anyone.
It’s actually more helpful to new members if the custom language of the group is relatively consistent rather than people making up their own long form of well known abbreviations here.

WP has never really been adopted for Platinum tiers in any other programs including Accor.
