Doesn't seem to make a difference though. Flew Business SYD-MEL on Monday night and half the carousel had got their bags and left before mine came out.

Same flying HNL-ITO and ITO-HNL business class on Hawaiian, 'Priority' was pretty meaningless.

VA SYD went with the retro tag today. Interested to see if they have reverted back, or if they just ran out of stock.

We had red "Group A" on ours Monday compared to the new style "Priority" out of PER on Friday. So I suspect it could have been a lack of stock.

I didn't end up using the bag drop at PER as there was no line at the desk and our bags were pretty much first off in SYD.

Returning to PER however and our bags were certainly not in the first group, resulted in an approximately 1am arrival at home rather than the 6pm if we arrived when we were scheduled.

Since the new tags came into effect I have noticed the system has deteriorated. It used to be the exception rather than the rule that my bags didn't come out in the first batch. Since the new tags I don't think they have come out in the first batch so much as once. I fly at least weekly, so have lots of data to rely on.

Is it just my luck?

We are the kiss of death at airline carousels, and don't even bother standing behind me in a bank queue......

For some reason, our PRIORITY tags morph after check in - only to become LOAD ME LAST or I AM PROBABLY FULL OF CONTRABAND - PLEASE SEARCH ME.

I am hoping for a small miracle this August when we fly Business LAX-SYD.

Recently on a SYD to LCT flight, my bags were tagged Group C, i asked if they were the priority bag tags, and the counter lady said yes, alas when the bags came out, my bags were definitely in the 2nd or 3rd load.

I received the old style tag Friday 3rd June PER-SYD-NAN at the priority check in desk (didn't want to attempt the self service machines), so maybe just luck of the draw?

I flew out of Sydney Thursday night and noticed they had attached red 'Group A' tags to my bag. Asked the check in person are they changing the priority tags and she said they had actually run out. FYI, my bag was second last at the carousel on Melbourne

I've kept my POM retro for use in emergency.

so on the journey back, from Launceston to Sydney, this time it was take with the proper Priority tag, and once again my bags came out in the 2nd batch....not sure whats the point of that LOL
