Yes, airlines should play this, so people would hurry up with playing Tetris in the overheads and sit down and shut up, so they don't block the rest of the plane from boarding. They should try this:
I guess you’re not really the target audience. And that's just fine.Boarding music? What is that? What do you mean? Is there music when you walk thru the door? Is this The Matrix? You all AFF part of The Matrix?
Seriously, my brain just does not register theelevatorboarding music on most airlines. It's always boring, and when I'm boarding, I'm concentrating on finding my seat, putting my luggage away, and download all my e-mail for the one last time before take off. My brain is just so busy.

Or, call Australia home, if it's QFi.
That's it. All other boarding music is just elevator music to me. If Qantas wants to be Aussie, play Australian artists from Hottest 100
And my comments is not just on QF. Every airline is the same.
Not always. A few years ago VA SYD-CBR introduced me to DMAs as their (noticeably loud) boarding music. I had to shazam it and I'm now a big fan. They are from SYD but it didn't seem like an orchestrated choice or soundscape design by VA though. Felt more like the hostie just chucked on her fav CD at the time.....boarding music on most airlines. It's always boring,

Is it bad to admit to that song being a bit of a guilty pleasure…?Back when Qantas first took over Impulse, the boarding music for those flights I took was "You Can't Fight the Moonlight" - the theme song from "Coyote Ugly".
I remember boarding a red eye flight in PER to the song "Intuition" by JewelBack when Qantas first took over Impulse, the boarding music for those flights I took before they were fully integrated was "You Can't Fight the Moonlight" - the theme song from "Coyote Ugly".
