Hi all,

Got a new/updated qantas rewards card in mail.
Says activate.
1. Is this only for the Qantas cash as FF number same.
2. Do I have to use wanqan cash or is the no use fee gone?
3. As a FF card is activation required?

It's only if you use Qantas Cash.

I got a new card in July. Didn't activate. Have flown since then without issues.

Can someone remind me since when has there been a no use fee for not using the Qantas Travel Card feature of the QFF card?

1. The activation is for the Cash component
2. No need to use the cash - no use fee is long gone
3. No need to activate the card if only the membership card is there

User of both the card and cash component

Really? I don't ever recall anyone ever being charged for receiving a QFF card but not activating the Qantas Cash facility of it.

I do use Qantas Cash when overseas, so I shall need a new card when mine expires at the end of November. Are new cards sent out automatically, and - if so - how near the end of the expiry month?

I posted too soon. One arrived in the post later yesterday. I was annoyed to find I couldn't activate it online as I have no mobile phone number. At least there was a 'by telephone' alternative with the usual lenthy tlephone tree to negotiate.
