New Qantas Phone System Maintenance / "Upgrade"

Out of curiosity did QF send out a blanket email to all notifying of the changes. I recall seeing an email stating that that this was going to happen and I could bypass these by calling the other 1300 number.
TBH I don't know why they would need to send an email to their customers about a phone system upgrade or menu option changes. 99% would immediately delete it saying 'why would I care about that'.

It was just a question, I was surprised to receive the message and I would have been otherwise unaware that the IVR for general number was about to be or had changed. The 1300 number that I was alluding to is the VIP number (the old SST number). When QF introduced this team I was sceptical about the level of service or value they would add. I have been surprised and now this number is the only number I call, IME the VIP team provides better service than SST due to travel restrictions I am yet to give them a call to assist with international IRROPs.

I just called and was first asked for my FF number and PIN - so they've gone back to the old system?
