Must explain why the Virgin Flyer, a seemingly entry level credit card, is flagged as a Visa Platinum...
Same as the Woolworths EDR card

Current Gold NAB Qantas card holder, just recieved a 'platinum one'. Same terms/conditons price & points earn as Gold. Anyone else get one?? (amex & visa)
What, a bank wanting to increase it's revenue? Noooo....
BTW, when we got upgraded to Plat One, it was a complimentary upgrade . "here's your new cards, etc"
But since then we did a proper upgrade to the real Plat cards with no points limit, after we got screwed one month, wondering why we were missing out on 1000s of points
I can't seem to accrue more than 6500 a month. Is that the limit?
Yep - the max you can earn is 6500 a month (less if not all your spend is on Amex). The first $3k spent on Amex earns at 1 point/$ (so 3000 points), then at 0.5 points/$ to $10000 (so $7000 - 3500 points), then no points from $10k, totalling 6500 points.
Thanks, are there better deals around?
Well, it depends on the fee per points.
We basically trashed our Plat One account and applied for the Qantas Platinum (still with Visa and AMEX) with the NAB
All our banking is with NAB so we wanted our primary CC account to be with them. But no points maximum so we're happy.
