House of Reps count doesn't conclude u til this Friday, 13 days after voting day. Pretty much all seats decided except 5. So it can go from 74-71 hung to 79-66 if the coalition overrun labours lead in 3 and keep their lead in the other two. Based on past patterns, this is still in the mix. Antony Green hasn't called these last five as thousands of postal votes remain outstanding.

everyone with a 0.7 quota is likely to win a seat but there's not enough of them to make up the final tally. Remember of course in the old system, the last winner was a bit like musical chairs. 2 in play, only one can get the seat. only needed to be one vote ahead of the second last remaining candidate. And because of the new optional preferences, the last quota may actually be really low because of exhausted votes. Who said it was unfair Ricky Muir got elected on a small number of votes. The last winner may in fact end up like the remainder in long division, just beating out a handful of other candidates for the last seat....
