Looks like VA have rolled out new book flights flow in the latest app. Quite handy/easy to use.

Welcome addition however. Most US carriers have in app booking. I’ve used the Delta app and it’s certainly top notch.

Jetstar enables flight search input in the app, then throws you to a browser.

Perhaps it is A/B/C testing, but in my App it lets you choose the basic options on that screen but then just feeds into the in-app browser to do the rest of the process (choose a flight, enter your details etc.). Hopefully just the first step but doesn't add much to the process (or make it simpler) at this point, for me at least.

Deleting and reinstalling the app a few times might get you into test audience for it.
