New Velocity partner: bundll bnpl

A datapoint: I joined Bundll last weekend, got the standard $500 limit, made a USD5.00 online payment the next day, it cleared to my Bundll account a couple of days later, and I got an email yesterday saying they've sent my 5000 bonus points to Velocity. They aren't at Velocity yet but I'm not too concerned yet.

Interesting notes:
  • It's very hard to find in their FAQs and PDSs etc, but I found somewhere (can't remember now) that there's no FX fee. I confirm that I made an identical transaction on my Coles Rewards MasterCard at the same time (zero FX fee), and ended up with the exact same AUD amount.
  • I have my Dragon Black Visa as the funding source. (They don't take Amex.) This should permit the high Dragon reward earn with no FX cost, for sufficiently small overseas payments, plus the 0.2 Velocity per dollar.
  • I haven't used it in person yet given lockdown, but it integrates with Google Pay so I expect no trouble.

Same thing - VA points on their way, BUT, a few days ago I got an email saying my account is suspended due to suspicious activity…WTF? I made one purchase, paid it off straight away, a few days later that email came in ( they say I can contact them by email to answer a few questions to reinstate), then yesterday the text of the VA points coming through. I think I’ll just delete the app, got my points so all good.

They will probably be shocked by people actually paying their stuff off straight away... #JustSaying

Who knows, all their balloons might pop, like the VGW.
You have a good point there, Penegal, its probably not in their interest for people to pay off their debts fast, as they would loose the chance to make money via charging interest on the debt owing.
In the news, they say that more people are using visa/mastercard debits these days, than in the past.
The (Aust) bankcard system didn't last that long, 30 years or so, edit: 32 years, just checked.
VGW was a great system for those who didn't want debt, or were not able to get a real visa credit card.

Just checked the T&C. Looks like standard time to receive points is two days, but the qualifying activity seems to be "pay balance down" rather than "make charge against Bundll card". Since my first Bundll hasn't been debited to my Visa yet it's still within terms that I have received zero points so far.

There is also a special timeframe for the joining bonus, and it's "up to twelve weeks after the Offer Period ends". So I guess that would be the end of the year before the 5000 points are late.

I have been using the bundll card and have made several payments. I haven’t received any points for my payments until recently. My last 2 payment have awarded points instantly after payment. I don’t think their system was set up correctly prior to the 21st September to award points. I can’t be bother chasing up a small amount of points for the previous payments.

Yes, additional data point from me: I just paid a small amount off in advance of my automatic payment date (full value of my first week's Bundll $6.80 plus an extra dollar to test it rounding up above $2.50) and I received the expected two Velocity points within minutes.

Sounds dodgy as…. But good on people for getting their points…
How is it dodgy? That was the promotion. I have been using the card anyways, as essentially you are earning 0.2 points on all purchases on top of your visa/MasterCard rate. Good when Amex is not accepted.

Not Velocity or the promotion, the provider. But each to their own!

i have friends that earn much more then me and have been rejected. Humm certainly have bugs and a strange system . I think i first opened up a humm app account but they only gave me a $100 limit which i have boosted the credit limit over time. I then opened a bundll account using a referral and they granted me a $1000 limit i dont know if it helped having previous credit products history with latitude. i tend to put thousands through zip then pay it with bundll then use credit card to pay the bundll account so i can double dip in points. i can confirm i have received velocity points as well as all my credit card reward points. Humm and zip have suspended my accounts a few times when ever i add a new credit card etc it is inconvenient having to keep on emailing them my ID etc I have a friend that keeps trying to open a bundll account every 6 months but gets declined even though they pass the ID check i think it fails because of their linked bank account has a history of low income and activity ? has anyone even been successful in opening a bundll account if they got declined the first time round? maybe its not even worth reapplying if their system black lists previous applicants.?

I tired multiple times when they initially blocked me and wasn't allowed. I think they may block at the least based on phone number or email.

The bank account I let them see was a savings account. In hindsight maybe my everyday transaction account would've been better. But I was a bit turned off regarding the security or privacy implications of them taking a 'snap shot' of my financials during the signup process.

I recently got my $500 limit increased to $1000. even though a while back I asked them and the said "we dont increase limits"

Has anyone received their 5000 points?
I gotta ask - what 5000 points? I havent got it.

I have been with bundll a while and added my velocity card for some reason i cant remember a few months ago :)
i assume it was to earn the odd point here and there

It was a promotion in Sep I think. 5000 bonus Velocity points. Now it's 1000 points.
