New Virgin Australia Lounge Commercial

No strong opinion either way about the commercial but i think i need to start calling that guy "floating man" - is it just me or does he float into everything?

Before the AFF gang hit the Mel DJ Lounge, that was the mix. But then we arrived and changed everything. Just liked the look on the Lounge staff faces when we hit them with a dozen DJ Gold and QF WP cards. What the coughK? :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: But finally they said you are ALL welcome to come in. Silly people, I mean inviting us lot and after we had done the QF FLounge for lunch. Must say the DJ Shiraz was nice. If I wasn't driving home, I would have enjoyed more than 1 glass.....

Just like Samuel Johnson should be known as the voiceover cough. I swear he voices everything on radio on TV these days.

True true. I'll never forget when one of us (anat0l I think it was) was holding up a Qantas Platinum Card and saying, does this let me in? Poor girl stared at it for a while and said "I don't know what that is". It's funny how there was 20 of us, and I was the only one who was flying Virgin.

Yet but they still let ALL of us in. No Guesting. No questions. She just said OK you can all go in. I suspect they had never seen so much Gold and Platinum flashing about in the air at the same time. She did scan my DJ Gold card, so I probably got hit for all the Guests..........

Why would you want a wind machine? High winds lead to flight disruptions and we all wouldn't want that!

Is that not a high level of service?

It is a nice lounge VR. Well done. Here you gotta understand we / the AFF lounge runners had just done a FLounge run / meet in Syd. So the DJ Mel lounge stood up very well.

For me it was Adl/Syd then Syd/Mel and Mel/Adl just for lunch and drinks. We are a crazy mob and do apologize to the Mel DJ Lounge angels. They handled us with professionalism, even if a bit shocked at seeing all the flashing DJ Gold and QF Platinum cards. You need to give them a Job Well Done.

BTW the fact that everyone just came from the SYD Qantas First Lounge and they liked the MLB Virgin lounge is a big complement - The SYD First lounge is regarded as one of the best in the world!

I really do hope that Virgin really embraces the magnificent windows at their SYD lounge when they redesign it - please take some inspiration from the Qantas First lounge SYD, do you think they would notice if you guys took their wooden sculpture dividers in the night?

Can I say a big thumbs up to the Pizza server and her wares in the DJ MEL lounge, very tasty and great service, I suspect they did not last once the West Coast boys arrived and settled in after their game.
