Hi All
I am wanting to book a flight J class from New York to Perth on the 5th or 6th of September using FF points for 2 adults. I have found availability on Qantas site for 1 pax but not for 2. I have Velocity points, AA points, Qantas points and access to Kris points also.

I am wondering if I should book the single seat on the EK flight and hope another openns up after booking?

Or can anyone see availability anywhere else.

Thanks
Joe

Have you looked at QR (just assuming they fly to New York) or CX via Hong Kong?

Yeah I have. Nothing shows up on the Qantas site as being available

I'm not sure if the QF website shows availability for QR. I would call up and see what they can do for you. There should be plenty of creative ways to get there on points.

There is an option to go JFK>NRT with JL but it is in premium economy. From Japan you can go to Perth on SQ via SIN using SQ points.

Connecting times might require a layover in Narita for the SQ flight.

Have you considered different departure points out of the U.S.? SQ has availability from Houston to Perth in J on the 5th of September. UA has a few direct flights from LGA to IAH and if you can slum it in Y for this leg you can tack it on to the SQ redemption for an extra 7k Kris miles.
