Kiwi tourist claims she was detained in Kazakhstan because 'officials refused to believe New Zealand was a country'

A 28-year-old tourist says she was detained at an airport in Kazakhstan after immigration officials refused to believe that New Zealand was a country and insisted it was a state of Australia.

Seems hilarious to think about. :shock:

HaHa LOL. Growing up in NZ in the 50's we were taught that there was the North Island, South Island and West Island. I moved to the West Island 35 years ago and have lived here ever since.

Sounds like the Kazakh superiority to Australia in Science and Maths doesn't extend to Geography
