Newbie questions on Asian Miles with Cathay

Andye thanks for the effort you went to. Good to know that we can mix and match the place of arrival and departure and still get the return price.

The dates are not set in stone and there is flexibility in that we could leave a few weeks later. Will keep searching and trying different combinations.

Should have said that if no Cathay flight on a mixed-carrier itinerary you use the Oneworld table rather than the standard one

Thanks for that. I can understand QF, VA, SQ and MH booking redemptions.

Now I will need to master the AM site which will be no mean feat! From looking at it today it seems not as user friendly as the other sites but then I don't like change or anything new.

What we do for J redemptions.

does anyone know if you can get arrival access into the Pier? or alternatively, gain access if connecting through to AUS (i.e. where there's no F on the planes)? does it need to be on the same ticket? Cheers

There is a Europcar offer with the latest Asia Mile Statement.

Enjoy 1,888 Miles on Your Next Road Trip With Europcar. I have read the terms and conditions and cannot find any restrictions on the length of car hire. I am assuming a 1 day car hire would still qualify for the bonus miles?

No unless you are in transit with Oneworld Emerald status or Oneworld carrier First flight on next segment.

Same or seperate tickets not relevant - next flight is what matters.

If you are flying in on CX F and connecting to CX J you will get access to the CX F lounge. If you are arriving OW F connecting to CX J you'll get access to the CX J lounges. Although not applicable to AU flights, if you were arriving OW F connecting to a short haul flight in any class out of HKG, you'd have access to the CX F lounges.
