Nice beers i have had recently - Trappist, lagers, Ales et al.

I'm supposed to be transitting on the way to Tirupati in the next two weeks so i will certainly seek it out.

But, back onto beer, this was a very nice drop i tasted in the Philippines. I was expecting a lager type copy, but very surprised as very Hoegaarden like in taste, but not colour. Crisp and fresh. Problem was I only bought one can from the supermarket!weis ph.JPGweis ph1.JPG

Another filipino beer that i thought was very good and worth finding was the Tuff Tuko American styled PA. It was very good and i found not over hopped which i find many of them are. Crisp on the taste and drinks well. Had it a a restaurant downtown Manila.

Those who like New England IPAs (hazy), Deeds Brewing co have some amazing ones.
Had recently:
Fiscal Damage (hazy TIPA)
The Traveller (double NE IPA)
Double Juice Train (double NE IPA)
Blur Vines (hazy DIPA with sauv blanc must - very interesting!)
Survivor Type (hazy TIPA)

I prefer them to the Balter Hazy DC and Dazy.

Also had a Hop Nation The Dawn double NE IPA and a Bodriggy Cosmic NE IPA which were quite good. The Bodriggy had some spice to it.

For me it's got to be;

Trillium: Cutting Tiles
Hacker-Pshorr Munchner Kellerbier Anno 1417

Failing that, Great Northern.

Do you have a source in MA who gets you beer from Trillium?

I'm going to NY soon. Will be visiting Other Half in Brooklyn and Evil Twin in Queens (Friday release).

Would be interested if there's anyone here who has been to Other Half to buy cans. I understand they release them on a Saturday (the only day I can't go unfortunately), with big lines, but I want to find out if they sell out quickly.

I know Monkish in Torrance, LA, announce their Saturday can releases on Instagram and update the posts to tell people if they have sold out (which is usually quite quickly), however I can't see anything like that for Other Half.
Both have big followings for hazy/DIPA/TIPA and I understand OH is a bigger operation; will still go but will try and plan the visit to ensure I have some cans to bring home.

Oh, how often do you go to Boston for work?
Which Australian city are you based in?
If in Melbourne, I'd be more than happy to trade some MA for NY hazies.
Also trying to swing by Equilibrium in Middletown, upstate NY, logistics are an issue however...
Trip is next month.

I’ve been going through some local brews on the east coast lately and have absolutely taken to the citrus flavor of the Tropi Cannon. Delicious.

I'll see what I can do, we have offices all over the US so getting it sent from MA and then forwarded shouldn't be an issue. Not in Melbs but I come down there periodically.

I'm actually due for a pack, need that wildflower taste in and around my mouth.
Honestly not a fan of IPAs but I like that one.

Other Half is generally a bit of a wait, with more hyped beers people camping out the day before. They are pretty good at changing allotments to cater for everyone in line so everyone gets some. But yeah, the lines can be brutal. Note that this is for buying cans, which is different to actually going into the brewery to drink onsite.
I personally wouldn't line up, as even then it can be hours before you actually get buy anything.

Also check out breweries such as Grimm and Interboro, easily accessible from Manhattan. Then there's fantastic bars such as Torst not far from there too.
If you're over in Manhattan, there's some great bars too, such as the Grand Delancey.

If you have some more questions, let me know.

Very mellow, but boozy. I had this with some homemade cherry pie, and the Pinot influence and cherry together was just perfect.
