Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

I had these two wines on QF802 yesterday - I didn't like the Cab Sauv at all but the sticky was nice

Exceptional South African blend we came across in Thailand. The couple sitting next to us in the restaurant noticed our enthusiasm and quickly ordered the last bottle they had in the cellar :)

So it happens my parents are currently in Cape Town so I made a quick call to my dad to see if he can ship me a case to OZ.
I knew that booking their tickets using my LM account will pay off eventually :p

I had planned on opening a Rioja Tempranillo I was given but things got hectic and I decided to leave it until I had time to give it the time it deserves. I sampled a recent purchase from the FO - 2012 Mount Avoca Merlot - an enjoyable quaffer - low tannins and nice fruit

EK F BNE DXB. Hennessy Paradis is back! Very generous serves. I have discovered that there is actually such a thing as too much Paradis .;)

Back to Aussie wines, today it's Kay Brothers Block 6 Shiraz 2003. It wasn't the best vintage in SA but this wine is just beautiful! Very smooth and ready to drink just after one hour of decanting.

Now the cheer on The Wallabies this evening with a 2013 disgorged Rockford Black Shiraz. Also celebrating Subiaco winning the WAFL (WA football league)grand final.

From Vinomofo?

No, not one from the Fo - unfortunately a single bottle buy from a bottle shop - I wish it was a dozen from the Fo then I may have more to look forward to.

edit: and I would have probably only paid $8 or $9 instead of the $26 - even though I think it was worth $35
