No First Class Saver Availability from SYD? (Advantage available)

Does anyone know why SQ is not releasing any First Saver awards on SQ222, but Advantage awards all available for immediate confirmation? First Class cabin seems to be empty as well.

No. My guess would be they're probably trying to fill premium cabins with the cashed-up, desperate, impatient and/or points rich first, prior to releasing the savers.

Probably a dumb question but where there is Waitlist on both Saver and Advantage (116,000 vs 150,000), will Advantage will be given preference over Saver if tickets are released (logic tells me yes, but FF program logic can be convoluted/obtuse at times)?

Good question. I don’t know the answer, but you should be able to waitlist both to hedge your bets.

When is the flight? Yes you can do that. Book and secure the available one online first, and if a waitlist is still available after you book it, then get on the waitlist for the second seat. It might help calling SQ up after you've waitlisted for the second seat letting them know that you've already got a confirmed seat and you're travelling together, and to send a chaser to get it confirmed.
