Hi All

I don't know if I have been out of the loop for a while or something is broken on the Qantas site but I cant seem to find any seats from MEL or SYD to DXB and not just reward seats, but paid seats as-well. I have attached a pic for reference, if anyone in the know can shed light on this that would be great

Is this as a result of the de-merger of Qantas and Emirates ? Just curious as to how flights to DXB will work post this date.

Thanks

August 2019 is too far out for Emirates flights to be showing, and Qantas have stopped flying to Dubai.

Qantas stopped flying to DXB in March. They only have codeshares on Emirates now.
Airlines don't post flights this far out. You will need to wait another 2 weeks or so before flights for Aug 2019 start appearing.
Qantas and Emirates are not merged, and never have been. They have an anti trust immune joint venture business on Oceania to Europe/North Africa routes.

Thanks all for the replies, just seemed weird how it was displayed (Attached the pic now apologies about earlier post). Ill give it a few weeks and see if anything comes up

Nothing weird about that view, as @Himeno said above, they haven't loaded the flight availability yet beyond 31 July 2019. Wait a couple of weeks and there it will be.

Funny - I noticed yesterday when looking at award availability that nothing shows for MEL - DXB beyond Jun 11th next year. That's only 278 days..

I find Emirates award availability to be fantastic so the thought that QF and Emirates would have any kind of falling out fills me with dread. In fact the QF program would have zero value to me without it.

So that is likely to be EK not giving the data to QF to load on the booking system, or QF have the data but just haven't loaded it . Consistently inconsistent.

Is it not also peak season late June to August? Could it also have something to do with EK not wanting to load award flights to/from Aus for that peak period straight away? (as there's still plenty of EK flights available over that time on their network in the QF search engine)

Plenty of reasons as to what it could be, but the reasons are unlikely to be shared by QF. Have they loaded them beyond the dates in your last photo?

I've been seeing both paid and reward fares loaded for flights to/from DXB & AUS.

On this same topic - looking to book JFK - DXB - MEL (or SYD) next year in Emirates F. Would likely be looking at September anyway, but doing dummy searches on Qantas currently and there's nothing up til late August so far for DXB - MEL/SYD (plenty from JFK - DXB).

In people's experiences does availability on Emirates for QF points get better in September? I was hoping with the end of Euro summer holidays we would find something...
