No Lounge Access for VA Gold in London on NZ?

Hi All,

So we all know Virgins 'international network' is a little bit ad hoc in terms of a number of things. I was hoping however that somebody could clarify some lounge access for me.

I'm doing a Premium Economy LAX-LON on NZ in March. I'm VA Gold. According to the lounge access guide here;

I'm able to access the LAX Lounge on departure. However there is no listed lounge for the return from LON. Does anybody know if there is a lounge that can be access in London by VA Gold on NZ?

This is one of those things that makes me wish I was still with *A. At least you are always guaranteed a lounge, sometimes a choice of them!

Having looked at the velocity site it does seem that you may be out of luck.

Same situation as in Japan... you could access lounges if heading to London in Virgin Atlantic or America on Delta... but no access to any lounges if heading to Australia on Singapore!

This is the major weakness of the 'VA' alliance... ****ty lounge access that is inconsistent everywhere...

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah, it's everybodies biggest hate with VA not being in a real alliance. Wish to hell they'd join *A (or anything TBH).

You can always SKlounge.
I mentioned to the man at counter at SYDi SKlounge the Koru lounge was closed for renovations and he let me in.
Scanned my BP and didnt even ask me if I tried/went to the temp Koru lounge.
They can only knock you back.
As said on here, ask!
Asking can sometimes open doors.
