First World problem - but we were super excited to be coming back from Europe in August next year in a Singapore Suite. Seems the Airbus is being replaced by the 777-300ER on this route. I wouldn't have forked out for Advantage fares for the regular first class offering, but guess we are stuck with it now.

Have you considered seeking an alternative ex-EU departure point and seeing if SQ will allow a change (based on mentioned booking of suites)? It’s free to cal up and ask……

Somewhat ironically, a SQ A380 just did an emergency landing into Frankfurt.

Suites is amazing but I prefer 777 F - smaller, more personal, better crew ratio (somebody, probly cruiser elite, did that calc in SQ Trips n Tales)

here you go, c/o CE :

Interesting Pax (P) -> Crew Member (CM) ratios SQ -> EK:
  • SQ R 380 - 6 P / 3 CM + IFM = 4 - 1.50 P / CM
  • SQ F 777 - 4 P / 2 CM + IFM = 3 - 1.33 P / CM
  • EK F 380 - 14 P / 3 CM + IFM + 1 GSA = 5 - 2.80 P / CM
  • EK F 777 - 8 P / 2 CM + IFM = 3 - 2.66 P / CM
